A celebration is in order.....

Wow, this is my 100th post. Hard to believe I've been at it this long. Its sort of a double celebration too because I FINALLY got my taxes all in order. I managed to FIND every bit of documentation needed, although it was not all in the same place. I start out putting it in one spot, but something strange happens during the year....I'm convinced its the gremlins again. They move the stuff just so I have a hard time finding it and then kick back with their beers and enjoy the show....me going crazy trying to find something. You know that commercial on TV where the little guys with TAXES written on their shirts are riding on the two other guys' backs? Well, I have felt like that myself, except it felt like an elephant was on my back. This is another reason why March is always so stressful for me....I know I have tax time coming up and I keep putting it off and putting it off. So they are in the envelope, ready to go to the tax lady. I have the envelope on the hall table, right in plain sight. If it disappears, I'm checking myself in at Happy Valley.

Then, of course, its not easy having my son and granddaughter here either. The Waltons we are NOT. Maybe someday I'll write a book about my experiences with my family. A soft fluffy book about love and the rewards of procreating would not be an accurate description. Mama's Family (Vicki Lawrence) on steroids might give you a better picture. My son has said stuff that honestly makes me wonder if the babies somehow got switched at birth and my REAL son is actually a successful businessman who owns 1000 condos in the Bahamas. I could not have POSSIBLY passed forth my genes and produced something that is so inconsiderate and hard to get along with. These are all things I ponder at night while I'm drifting off to sleep.....that and how to split the atom more efficiently.

Well, readers, I'm off to see what kind of trouble I can get into today. I have so effin many things to do I am just in awe of my numerous choices. Boredom is not in my vocabulary, that's for sure.
Enjoy your day.....SMILE....you could be in MY life. LOL

Congratulations on your 100th post! I'm so glad you're around more this week - I've been missing you.

Val, your comment about your mom being your best friend made me smile. I feel that way about my mom too.

It's stressful living with family, isn't it? I hope he can get on his feet soon, I'm sure your relationship will improve dramatically when he's no longer your house guest.

Thinking about you and sending my love,
fiwa

There are members of my family I would NEVER live with. I sure hope it gets better.

Big hugs and love.

If the tax paper work goes missing you can always come here and call it Happy Valley.

Congrats on reaching Post 100! Isn't blogging just the most amazing blessing? It gives us a place to share both our joys, our struggles, and all the crazy stuff we can't or don't dare share anywhere else! While my daughter and I are very close, we have long since known that more than a week spent under the same roof is asking for trouble. Bottom line is we are both too independent and in some ways too much alike. I hope your son finds his own way soon, so your life can return to a more peaceful norm. Your feelings about him being switched at birth mirrors my feelings about my sister. How in the world did she grow up to be so nasty? Hopefully, at some point in life (maybe?) they will achieve a bit of spiritual enlightenment and become easier to live with, especially for those that love them. Until then, I'll be praying for you!

Wow congratulations Val on such a wonderful milestone and also on getting the taxes done. Ours come up at the end of June and I always put it off and have it hanging over my head for weeks on end. Why do we do that to ourselves I wonder?

OMG Charlotte - you have expressed exactly what I feel with my daughter...and it aint pretty, at least not recently. Thank you for making me think I am not the only one in the world who's babies have been mixed up...

I love LOVE LOVE reading about your life. Why? Because it mirrors my own.

Plus, I just happen to think you're awesome. :)
