I have learned.....

it's not a good idea to put bath oil in your bath water if you have a bad left knee and a bad right hip. Whatever visuals you're getting right now are probably pretty darn accurate. I bet none of YOU have ever slithered over and out of the tub on your belly much like a great big snake. Sigh. Necessity makes one do odd things. I can laugh about it now.

Oh sweetie - Ouch - it would be less funny if I had not done the same thing myself - You ok ?

As long as you didn't fall and get hurt this is what I want to say...

...snort!

Oh, trust me, I know what you're talking about all too well, unfortunately. I can assure you that oil in the shower produces no better outcome.

Also, never assume that those great big granules of "whatever" in those body scrubs will go down the drain. Nope. And if you rarely if ever clean your tub (that's me), the next time you get in it's like sitting on sand paper.

I hope you're OK and glad you can laugh about it.

Oh my goodness!
Hope you didn't damage anything other than your pride.
Since my accident I have started to realize why grab bars in a bath enclosure are a good thing,
Installing them is on the to-do list for our bathroom renovation.

jyankee ~ yep, I'm ok and a lot smarter now.

Brad ~ yes, I'm ok. I have been a bit sore for all my slithering antics, but I'll soon be right as rain.

Summer ~ Snort is right! Every time I think about how this must have looked to my dog....I'll be lucky to demand any kind of respect around here.

CBW ~ I was wondering what I was feeling on my bare butt while sitting in the tub. Here I thought the granddaughter had brought some sand in....now I know. I don't know if I'll EVER take another bath....just showers from now on. I get into less trouble that way.

Bear ~ yep, let my experience be a lesson to you too. That bath enclosure you can SIT in like a little booth is looking better n' better. I bet they are outrageously expensive too.

Oh you poor, poor thing...

Anything added to a bath just makes me itchy, anyway. I'm better off just with showers...

...unless I'm hot-springing it!!

Glad to read that you are okay. What a horrible experience.

Be well, Val.

Ouch! Actually, I HAVE done that. And I mashed my boob against the tub in the process of trying to catch myself. With great force. Ouuuuuch!

I hope you're ok and not black and blue!

mama llama ~ it was not an experience that I have a desire to ever repeat.

fiwa ~ in the course of my job as police and fire dispatcher, I had taken far too many "tub accident" calls and was determined that I was not going to fall...that's why I slithered out so I couldn't fall. No more oil for me! The only bruises I suffered were on my knee where I really did try to get out and bear through the pain but couldn't.

Well Miss Charlotte - good hell, are you okay?

Wouldn't you just love to have a camera trained on each of us at all times? Folks would certainly see some smooth moves on my video, too.

Hugs.

I hate it when that happens:)

Since you're ok, I shall cackle now.

LOL

Let me know when I'm allowed to laugh because honestly Val if you could see the scene I have going through my head, you would thoroughly enjoy a good chuckle. Meanwhile I am completely sympathetic until you get better :)

Where are you Miss Charlotte?

Hope you haven't suffered any lingering effects from your "mishap".

Hugs.

Oh honey. I tried so hard to not laugh. You poor thing. And yes, actually, it has happened to me once when I didn't rinse out the tub enough after cleaning it. It was like the proverbial heel on a banana peel.

I love ya and hope you're alright!

But I bet you were the most delicious smelling slithering thing ever to crawl outta the crevices of the bathtub. :) :)

Heehee--sorry to laugh at your expense, but had you said you broke your hip I'd be crying for you--have been a part of too many hip surgeries to see the painprior and aftermath.

Next time maybe try bath salts? :)
