A google view.....

Thanks to Brad for this idea. This is a google view of my neighborhood. I live right in the middle of all those trees, where the yellow pin is, so you can only see a portion of my roof. The parking lot at the right is for the elementary school where my kids went and now my granddaughters both go. Three "blocks" west of me is a huge lake, where they all learned to swim.

You live in your own little oasis Val. Don't you just love living amongst nature? Beautiful.

I played around with that a few days ago, and could see a street view, I could see the front of my house and my neighbors' houses. It was kind of upsetting, thinking that anyone who knows my address could look it up and see exactly which house is mine.

The trees in your photo look like broccoli!

They do look like broccoli! Did you use Google Maps or Earth? When I tried maps it named the streets, and I try to be a little anonymous.

How wonderful to live in the middle of a forest with a huge lake 3 blocks away. Ideal!

Cheryl - I used Google Earth and then used Paintshop on the saved photo to remove the street names and the longitude and latitude degrees along the bottom.

That's awesome!!!! I love houses surrounded by trees. The house I grew up in, in Oregon was that way!

I'm waving to you - Hi Val!
You are lucky to have all those trees - I bet that really helps keep the temp down in your house.

It looks like a beautiful little neighborhood. :)

lovins!

I'm not sure I'd want to live that close to an elementary school. But an elementary school is better than a high school.

Don't you live in Arizona? If so then you are LUCKY and live in a nice cool shady oasis! The rest of the Phoenix area sure don't look like that:)
