And life goes on.....

Hello my friends....I am back. I feel much like this picture. New life sprouting from an old and dead looking limb of a tree. My faith and the faith of my friends have pulled me and my tiny family through an ordeal that should never happen to anyone. The best thing I can say about this is that no one is sick or dying. The inner flames of our souls have been dimmed, to say the least, but we have stuck together and weathered the storm. Its been a dark, horrible road and I never want to go there again. We will be dealing with the "after effects" for a while yet but the memories will stay with us forever and have left us forever changed.

I may write about it someday. I can't right now. It would infuriate some of you, puzzle some of you and some of you just would not even believe that such a bizarre thing could happen.

Yes, bizarre, unfair things happen to good people. People who have done nothing to deserve it. That has shaken my faith but I'm working on that. I've always believed that things happen for a reason and I'm trying hard to figure out what the reason is in our case. I haven't found it yet.

All I know is that it was a very unfortunate series of events that led to this and it began 18 months ago. It was all started by a spiteful teenager who wanted to "get even" and it opened up a huge pit of heartache for several people who did not deserve it. I would not want to be this teenager when she is someday made to be accountable for her actions in life. Its hard not to hate her but hate only hurts the hater, so we will not allow ourselves that emotion. KARMA will take care of her.....of this I have no doubt whatsoever.

Thank you all for thinking of me, for your wonderful comments and emails and for coming back at intervals to check on me. It will take me a little while, but I'll be OK.....I just have to find that danged sense of humor of mine.....it ran off and hid on me during this last month. God Bless.

I'm so glad to have you back. Your post has me intrigued, of course, and I'll lend a supportive ear if you ever do decide to write about it. I'm so sorry for what you must have gone through. Like you said, it's a time of regrowth, and you have survived. Life will go on. Ready for some humor here!

I am glad to see you back, Val. Somehow we always find our way back to the caring circle of our friends here. I hurt for what your family has gone thru. I know too well the hell that can be visited upon innocent people by someone with a malicious intent. I am glad that you have come thru the fire, it will make you stronger, if less innocent. Yes, these things do test our faith, but I believe that what happens is part of the plan for our lives and God has it under control. Keep believing, in the final picture good will triumph over evil!

Sorry you had to go through some bad times.
I too am glad to see you back.
Sometimes things happen and we just can't understand why and may never know but I believe God is still there watching over us and will help us get through those times.
Those times are when we need Him the most.

I liked how you posted a picture to express how you feel.

well, glad to see you peek out at us all, Val! And, I ain't one to tell anyone what to do (though i evidently usually have an opinion) but i've found that the best trick, at least for folks with faith, is to just do. As in, sometimes we spend so much time trying to figure out stuff we forget to live our lives.

Don't pay too much attention to the 'black box' avatar. One of my blogging buddies lost her hen and one of her friends also lost a pet.
Mine (Gni Gni) isdiagnosed with cancer, but, she's a survivor, I'm hoping.
I'll probably have a new avatar by this evening....

Val, Sorry to hear about your ordeal. I hope you can tell us about it one day, because we can all learn something from this. Besides that, I am very curious. But all in your own good time, if ever.

You know we are here if you feel like talking about it, but it's ok if you don't too. I'll be sending up a prayer for you and yours that you find some peace over whatever happened.

All my love,

It's good to have you back Val....for us and probably for you too. As unforgiving as your heart may be, you may need more healing time, and writing and talking things out may be a good thing. Whatever happened to you and your family will be healed by time....bless your sweet soul...and your loving heart Val. Love, Joy

P.S. Your beautiful sense of humor didn't go anywhere...trust me.

Welcome back! I understand that you may have reservations writing about it at the moment. And we are perfectly ok with that! :-)

Whatever that you still have to deal with, may you be blessed with courage and inner light. All things happen for a greater divine reason. If we be patient and still our chattering minds that always quickly jumps into conclusions, the great lesson that it's suppose to bring will surface.

We are here with you.

I just came back to read some more of your comments and realized that I made a typo....

You do realize that I meant "forgiving" as your heart may be.... and not "unforgiving" don't you? Sorry Val.... Hugs, Joy

I am so happy to see you back here. I assume that means that your life at home has turned relatively back to normal...

I know I owe you an email, and I will get to it, but what I have to write is going to take so much time. Something similar is happening in my life..yes, I know..this S**T doesn't happen to good people, yeah...right. At least you have made it through yours...

Love ya friend. Hugs.

I have been away from blogging for so long, but I was wondering how you were doing. Bad things sure do happen to good people and I know the life isn't fair spiel, but gee Val you sure don't deserve such pain.

Sorry you've had a bad month. Most teenagers cause a lot of pain they are very sorry later in life. That doesn't help, thou, while they reek their havoc does it. Good to see you back. ac

Hey Girl.. I'm glad you're back. If you haven't read the book When Bad Things Happen To Good People, give it a try. It helped me quite a bit many years ago.
