It's freaking wrong!!

As for clothes, I'm sorry you had to do all that shopping. But can I be honest and admit I approve of girls wearing dresses and skirts at or below the knee? I don't think girls need to wear them all the time, I think that's a tad old fashioned.

My brother's daughter is 6 almost 7 and he buys her skirts and dresses but she wears a pair of pajama shorts underneath. I think that's a good idea too.

As for me.. I home school, so I'm done. I take advantage of the sales, but I don't have to buy as much as other people. I spent literally $5 on school supplies. That was nice. We mostly need spiral notebooks and pens. That's about it.

Sorry for the novel... <3Moohaahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12783775723399171570noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2758315312808346503.post-61623300262000694582011-08-23T06:54:12.034-04:002011-08-23T06:54:12.034-04:00Well, you have to admit that your life has been go...Well, you have to admit that your life has been going just "swimmingly" lately--just a few minor household repairs, that's all. Something like this was bound to happen to stir things up a little. :-)Forsythiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11842925744413303224noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2758315312808346503.post-84507695649312864912011-08-22T12:06:45.687-04:002011-08-22T12:06:45.687-04:00I got all my pre-school shopping done 24 years ago...I got all my pre-school shopping done 24 years ago. I can't believe you and your daughter pulled it all together so fast....bravo to you Val. Do you think this new school could have any more restrictions? Geesh...shades of the 50's and all the demands some schools had. I hope it all comes together for your granddaughter...and all of you. Big hugs, Joy

P.S. I don't have back-to-school shopping anymore...thank God. But I did help my daughter get her classroom together this past week...school starts tomorrow. I don't know how I did all that preparing and running around every year for my tribe...geesh!Joy Des Jardinshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04893445642606862131noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2758315312808346503.post-23765898912270228802011-08-21T11:56:40.197-04:002011-08-21T11:56:40.197-04:00This sounds like the '50s!!!

I would be darn angry at the school too, while they were waiting for last minute miracles they could have warned parents of the great liklihood they were going to shut down, so you could have had Plan B in place just in case!

I think you are an amazing Grandma for jumping in to help find a school and track down the required clothing, etc. Sounds like this new school would fare far better with uniforms. I can only imagine how difficult it was to meet the knee-length criteria with what most kids are wearing now. I will be praying that all goes well for your granddaughter in the new school, maybe it will turn out to be a blessing in disquise!

I love online shopping too, I can't imagine how we ever survived without the Internet in "the old days"! :-))Josie Two Shoeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18388032819905416258noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2758315312808346503.post-79000985757004428122011-08-20T21:29:44.682-04:002011-08-20T21:29:44.682-04:00That's incredible that they gave you such shor...That's incredible that they gave you such short notice! Wow!
I bet it's hard to switch from uniforms to regular clothes, especially with the options they give you. That's kind of strict!
We're set for this year here, thank heavens. I hate to do that shopping, even online.Mikeyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03574914465998507310noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2758315312808346503.post-22379485631940419802011-08-20T21:14:59.181-04:002011-08-20T21:14:59.181-04:00wow..sign of the times?
